I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist specializing in child, adolescent, family, and adult psychotherapy. I maintain a private practice in Sequim, Washington and am a certified Child Mental Health Specialist and National Certified Counselor.
I have over ten years of experience as a mental health counselor. Receiving my master’s degree in psychology from Antioch University Seattle with the Child, Couple, Family Therapy and Art Therapy programs in 2008, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings with adult and youth populations.
As an art therapist, I use the creative process of art-making to promote mental health wellness. Art therapy does not require drawing or painting skills. The experience of the art-making process and insight presented through the artwork is the focus for the client and therapist to work with.
Among my areas of expertise and training are art therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, trauma therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Licensure and Certifications: WA State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC); National Certified Counselor (NCC), Art Therapist Registered-Board Certified (ATR-BC), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), WA State Certified Child Mental Health Specialist and Mental Health Professional.
Professional Memberships: American Art Therapy Association, Evergreen Art Therapy Association, National Board for Certified Counselors
